Recall involves a more complex request of a dog than we sometimes realize. We all want dogs that come promptly when we call, but sometimes that behavior breaks down at some step in the process. And, practicing recall can be tough, because it’s hard sometimes to find a safe place that can also provide challenges to help improve your dog’s ability to give up distractions and return to you.

This two-hour workshop will cover the principles of a strong recall, breaking down each piece of the behavior, and practicing those pieces around a set of planned distractions, all the the safe, fenced environment of the outdoor ring at Paws ‘N Effect.

The emphasis will be on having fun with your dog, improving your knowledge and skill as a handler, and giving you a safe environment with appropriate distractions to practice with.
