Nosework

Nose Play is based on the premise that when it comes to dogs, the nose knows!! This class allows your dog to use their nosiness to hunt for things that are hidden. It's a great way for your dog to have fun, build confidence, and burn up lots of mental and physical energy. There is even a competitive dog sport that has been developed that tests your dog's ability. Check it out at the National Association of Canine Scent Work website.

Classes are taught by Lil Clark, CPDT who has had the opportunity to learn from the founders of the sport and competes with her own dog.

Open to all dogs (except those with aggression toward people).

BEGINNER
This class teaches your dog to use their nosiness to hunt for scents.  It is a great way to build confidence and burn up lots of mental & physical energy.  Dogs will learn to search for a specific odor, hidden in a variety of places.  Dogs work on the floor one at a time. Open to all dogs except those with aggression toward people. Dogs must be able to either be crated or left in your car between runs. You must call to register.

INTERMEDIATE

This class is for those dogs who already have training in nosework and have begun pairing odor. This is class is on-going and can be joined with instructor permission.  You must call to register.
